THE NEWEST DECADE

Matt turned thirty last week and let me tell you, he started off this newest decade in his life with a bang!

Proudly, I watched as Matt finished his FIRST EVER half marathon just days before his birthday!! It was an interesting twist on our usual arrangement of me as the runner, Matt as the spectator. I must say, it was quite enjoyable! Of course, in a sense it was tough not running, but I'm so glad I was able to stand and cheer my husband on at five separate miles throughout the race. He worked so hard to tackle this challenge, so words cannot express my admiration for him when he crossed the finish line in less than two and a half hours!

This past weekend we celebrated his birthday by going to Sun King Brewers for some beer tasting. It was awesome! We all were pleasantly surprised by how fantastic the beer truly was. If you haven't had a chance to check them out, definitely do! They're located in downtown Indianapolis and are currently selling beer in 30 different restaurants / bars around the area.

All in all, the birthday celebration was a great one. Matt has accomplished so much in his 30 years: 3 collegiate degrees including his MBA, a successful and solid position at CH Robinson for six years, an owner of a great-though-sometimes-money-pit house that keeps getting better and better each year, owner of a fantastic kegerator that usually holds the "champagne of beers" - Miller High Life -, and best of all, father to two BEAUTIFUL and HAPPY boys who LOVE their daddy to pieces!!

Happy Birthday Matt - I love you and am so glad to have you all to myself!! :) You have given us all so much and continue to do so each and everyday!
