NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION

One of my main New Year's Resolution is to be ON TOP of posting blogs!! With the holiday rush and chaos of Matt's surprise 30th birthday plans, I've been seriously neglecting "Growing Up Lee"!

This past weekend I surprised Matt with a 30th b-day surprise: a UD reunion with all his closest friends. All the wives helped me plan the weekend. We surprised all the boys with a fun dinner at Oakwood Club, accommodations in 2 UD Alumni Houses, Basketball game tickets and a birthday keg party and bar hopping!

Matt was completely surprised! Thank goodness I say because I worked OVERTIME to make sure he was completely in the dark. I admit there were a few instances where I thought it would be totally ruined, but somehow it all worked out.

To be back in college after nearly 7 years is quite an experience. First off, sitting in the bars reminded me (heavily indeed) as to how old we all are! I sat and looked at UD's current students and realized they some are a DECADE younger than me. Yes! I know ... outrageous isn't it?

To all UD Alum: if you are wanting to go back and visit, here are a few suggestions:

1. Call ahead to make sure the Alumni House you have on hold actually has enough sleeping space! I found out that the two houses (of which were supposed to sleep 6 each) only had 8 beds total! Yikes!

2. Be sure to visit Tim's. Yes, its exactly the same ... VERY REFRESHING :)

3. Though nostalgia may entice you, DO NOT FALL VICTIM TO BEAST. Its simply not necessary and frankly, tough on the body.

4. Drive around the ghetto and take time to remember the fun and love you experienced in its streets. Perhaps stop by a party or two while you're at it :)
