HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!

Besides his Dinosaur pop-up book that his Great Mimi gave him for his b-day, Matthew's newest favorite book is "Twas The Night Before Christmas". He has Matt and I reading it nearly five times a day!


I must admit, the poem is actually really fun to read aloud, so when Matthew brings the book to me periodically throughout the day I find myself excited for a fun little break! The best part of all: Matthew has much of the poem memorized, so he likes to recite it with me! As I've mentioned before, Matthew is GREAT with books. He loves to read all the time and most of all, he LOVES to recite the words. I'm not kidding when I say there are some books he actually "reads" to me (he memorizes word-for-word an entire book and then recites it from memory to us).

Every once in a while he'll end the book with "Happy Christmas to all and to all a gross night!" - A quote he picked up from "Shrek's Christmas" program that he watches practically everyday ... along with "How The Grinch Stole Christmas."

Needless to say, we're all pretty Christmas happy in our house! I'm baking up a storm, Matt's decorating like crazy, Matthew is talking nonstop about Santa and Declan keeps yelling out "Ho Ho Ho!" (okay, a bit of over-exaggeration).

Can't wait for Santa to squeeze his behind down our chimney!!
